Chesterfield Lodge is located in the West Norfolk village of Emneth, England close to the Cambridgeshire border and is situated in 2 acres of landscaped, walled gardens. It's location makes it ideal as a base to explore the fenlands of Cambridgeshire and Norfolk, also the sandy beaches of the North Norfolk coast, (an area designated as of Outstanding Natural Beauty). There are many stately homes within comfortable driving distance including Sandringham House (a Royal residence), Houghton Hall (built by Robert Walpole, the first British Prime minister) and Holkham Hall (the magnificent residence of the Earls of Leicester), most of which are open to the public.
Bed & Breakfast Accommodation is offered in one double ensuite bedroom, one double bedroom with private bathroom and one twin ensuite bedroom. The double ensuite bedroom also has a double futon which can provide for family accommodation. A full English breakfast is provided in the conservatory/lounge.
Some steps into the building, so the accommodation is not ideal for people with limited mobility or wheel-chair use.
Please note : PETS AND SMOKING ARE NOT PERMITTED !
Self-catering Accommodation is also available in a separate Lodge which is quietly situated away from the main building. Although the Lodge is ideal for a couple, the lounge futon can sleep two children. It has a double bedroom, lounge, kitchen, bathroom with shower, flush toilet and wash basin. Please note that the lodge is situated some 200 yards beyond our secure car park and is reached by way of a block-paved path through the gardens.
